Hi everyone,
In this post, I'm going to tell you about what podcasting means and how you could use it. It's very simple:
What is a 'podcast'?
A podcast is like a video but without the screen to look at the scene. Or like a CD but than any subject and not only music. Also you might describe a podcast as someone reading a book to you. You can see it as something you listen to but can’t see (it can only be something electronic. So not listening to a friend with your eyes closed and then saying it's a podcast). Also, it is prerecorded. This means it isn't a live show.
Mostly, a podcast is a audio. But sometimes it’s a video. A podcast is not just one episode, it’s episodically. Which means more than one, or in series.
A podcast is downloaded or streamed from the internet. There are many different types of podcasts. To name some: news, children(until a certain age), humorous, serious, tv programs, etc, etc.
The audience of podcasts are usually: if you feel serious, listen to the news. If you are in a funny and laughing mood, go for a humorous podcast.
How could you use a podcast?
Podcasts come in useful if for example you missed a radio news program. You can go to the news program website and look under podcasts(if they have a website and podcast from their episodes). Most of the time, you can easily find a podcast. Remember the title of your show and then you'll find it.
How to use it? (example:)
Lets say, for example you wanted to listen to a news podcast:
1. Find a website that has both RSS Feed and a podcast on it.
2. Copy the RSS Feed. (RSS Feed/Subscribe + "Copy link")
3. Go to your google reader account. (If you haven't got one yet, on google search, type in google reader and make an account.)
4. If you done all of that, press "add an subscription".
5. Paste the RSS Feed/Subscription in the box.
6. Press add and then enjoy!

Sailing
Hi everyone,
In my spare time I go sailing. It's not an active sport like hockey, basketball or soccer but it's a very nice sport to do.
It's all about concentration and looking where you're going. Also you have to know all the terms like what a boom is and where the mainsheet is and what it's used for.
The 'boom' is named after the sound it makes when it hits you're head! As it is called a BOOM!
The rope 'main sheet' is used to speed up or down by pulling the rope or releasing it.
When I return to the shore, I see the sunset like at the picture underneath. At that point I feel happy that I live so close to the sea. Sometimes fish are trapped inside my boat. At first I didn't know how to save them, but now I do.
It's too hard to hold them because the fish are slippery and misunderstand you by thinking you want to kill them. So what you should do is see where the closest place to let them into the water is and them lay you hand at the opposite. Now you should swipe your hand towards the fish with some speed until the fish gets thrown of board.
It sounds mean but this saves them.

Chinese Lesson
Hi everyone!
In the Chinese lesson me and my classmates needed to answer some questions and write them on a Pages document. Then I posted the questions on my blog and here they are.

Inappropriate Blogging
Hi everyone,
You always have to be careful if you post something on the internet. If it's inappropriate and someone like your boss or teacher notices you could lose your job or get banned from school. And if you get banned from school, you can't graduate and end up without a diploma. So don't post anything on the internet if you're not sure of the impact it might have.
To give an example, a lady who worked in a aircraft lost her job because she took some pictures of herself in uniform in the airplane and posted it on her blog.
Another example is of the 4 students who posted critical posts of their principal.
I'm going to stay out of trouble by and not posting anything on my blog which I'm not sure of somebody allows me or if I'm not sure if it's true or false.

5 Google Search Tips
Hi,
To help you look for a curtain word/phrase/sentence here are some basic google search tips:
First of all, searching the internet works like this: you type in a word. Search engines look on every single page for the word you typed in. Then it makes a selection of websites that fit in most with the word you typed in. Here are some tips:

First of all, searching the internet works like this: you type in a word. Search engines look on every single page for the word you typed in. Then it makes a selection of websites that fit in most with the word you typed in. Here are some tips:
- Google search ignores punctuation and capital letters so it's no use typing them in to.
- Some words have multiple meanings so be more specific with what you type.
- Sometimes you should shortcut your words if you want to be more specific. E.g.: Don't write "my stomach hurts" but type in "stomachache".
- Put brackets around the words if they are a phrase or a sentence, so they wont be separated when the search engine is searching the web. E.g.: You are looking for sand sharks, when you type the words in the search box put brackets around them like this: "sand sharks" so the engine wont look for sand alone and sharks alone.
- Try to imagine how the webpage would look like. What would the title be? What words would appear? Type in those words and it will be easier to look for the website.

Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick
The reason why I chose to post this video on my blog is because in the subject humanities our teacher showed us this video of this singer singing the song "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" created in the time my mum and dad were younger. This video was the start/beginning of a activity in which we had to look things up in the atlas and write a page about it. I didn't know that for instance Sudan existed. Now I know more about the world. Where which land/country and seas are where.
Welcome To My Blog
Welcome to my blog.
I made this blog to practice with blogger and internet accounts. I'm already liking creating this blog. And I'm going to make it really nice. I'm going to do that by changing my background and putting on gadgets. And I'm am NOT posting on anything not appropriate. I'm going to learn about ICT, the internet and what is dangerous and what isn't. Also I will become more quick and smart using Blogger. About how to change fonts, designs, word clouds, links and embed things. After a while I'll be so quick with these things...

Ps: Feel free to post a comment on my blog. I would like to see what people think about my blog. But I will remove any inappropriate comments from my blog.
